Choice Hotels International has expanded its extended stay portfolio in the US with the ground-breaking of three new Everhome Suites in San Antonio, Texas; Bowling Green, Kentucky; and Wichita, Kansas.

These have been developed in alliance with Highside Companies.

Choice Hotels extended stay development senior vice president Ron Burgett said: “These three new locations speak to our continued leadership in new construction midscale extended stay.

“We’re opening hotels at a rapid pace and providing franchisees and collaborators like Highside with exceptional operational know-how in the category.”

The Everhome Suites San Antonio will be the sixth property under construction in Texas.

In Kentucky, the Everhome Suites Bowling Green will become Choice’s second property in the state. The hotel will feature 115 rooms and is situated near Western Kentucky University, University of Kentucky College of Medicine, and more.

The first Everhome Suites in Kansas will be located approximately three miles south-west of Wichita State University, offering 123 rooms.

All scheduled to open in late 2025, the three properties will offer pet-friendly options, multipurpose lobbies, communal outdoor areas with barbeque grills, fire pits, green spaces, and pools at select locations.

Earlier this month, Choice Hotels International released its financial results for the second quarter (Q2) of 2024. For the April-June 2024 quarter, the company registered net income of $87.13m and total revenue of $435.15m. 

Choice Hotels currently has four Everhome Suites, over 65 in the pipeline, more than 20 under construction, and over 15 due to open within the next 12 months.

The company includes approximately 400 hotels in the pipeline across four extended-stay brands as of the end of Q2 2024.
