Denmark’s Core Hospitality takes 14 Zleep hotels
Core grows exponentially via the brand still owned by H World Hospitality, which keeps the Zleep hotels outside of Denmark.
KASTRUP, Denmark – Danish hotel company Zleep Hotels A/S, currently with 14 hotels, is merging with the third-party hotel management company Core Hospitality A/S, creating the fourth largest hotel operating company from Denmark.
While the German hotel group Deutsche Hospitality (recently rebranded as H World International) owns 100% of the Zleep Hotels brand, Core Hospitality now owns 100% of the operations in Denmark, which will give it greater leverage due to increased scale.
Eight Zleep hotels open outside of Denmark will stay with H World International.
Combined, the new management company will continue as Core Hospitality, signifying its multi-brand strategy as a white-label hotel operator.
Altogether, Core Hospitality now operates 19 hotels (2,288 rooms) across five brands: 14 Zleep Hotels in Denmark, two Moxy Hotels in Norway, a Fairfield by Marriott and a Residence Inn by Marriott in Copenhagen as well as the Kirk Suites in Vejle.
“It was also my dream to be a white-label hotel operator. Now we truly are with five brands – and more to come,” said Core Hospitality CEO Peter Haaber.
After the merger, Core Hospitality becomes the sixth largest operator in Denmark; it employs approximately 500 people across the organization; and has a pipeline with two additional hotels – the Moxy Aarhus and Zleep Glostrup with a total of 340 rooms.
