Finding a working travel promo code is harder than it looks. Most coupon sites list codes that expired months ago, or redirect you to a generic homepage with no discount applied. This page is different – I only list codes from platforms I actually use and recommend, and I update it regularly as new offers come through.

I run this travel blog through Travelpayouts, a travel affiliate network that connects bloggers with booking platforms across every category of travel. This page lists every platform I recommend – organised by type – along with any active promo codes.

How this page works:

  • Every code listed is verified active at the time of posting
  • Each listing shows the exact discount, eligibility conditions, and expiry date
  • I update this page whenever new codes arrive or existing ones expire
  • Platforms without active codes are still listed – they are worth bookmarking for when codes become available

Bookmark this page and check back before any booking.

Active promo codes – May 2026

Kiwitaxi TPO5 5% off any transfer booking 15 June 2026 Book on Kiwitaxi

Even when there is no active promo code for a platform, the right booking site can still save you significant money by showing you options you would not have found otherwise. Below I have listed every platform I use and recommend, organised by category. Each one includes a short description of what it is, what it is best for, and when I reach for it. Think of this as a reference page – bookmark it and come back whenever you are planning a trip.

Tours, activities and attractions

This is where I spend the most time researching before any trip. The platforms below cover guided tours, museum tickets, attraction passes, and day trips. All of them let you book in advance and skip the queue.

Klook – One of the world’s largest travel experiences platforms with over 490,000 activities across 1,000+ destinations. Strong across Asia and expanding rapidly in Europe and the Americas. Book tours, museum tickets, theme park passes, rail passes, airport transfers, and local SIM cards all in one place. I used Klook for my Cradle Mountain day trip from Launceston and for tours throughout Australia. Active code: TPKLOOKTA5 – 5% off tours and activities in the US, EU, and UK. Minimum spend $50. Valid until 30 June 2026. Must book via the link above.

GetYourGuide – Particularly strong for Europe. Covers guided tours, skip-the-line tickets, day trips, and experiences worldwide. One of the most established platforms in the space with a large inventory and reliable customer support. My first stop for European city tours.

Viator – Owned by TripAdvisor. Enormous inventory across every continent, especially strong for destinations outside Asia and Europe where Klook and GetYourGuide have thinner coverage. Good option for off-the-beaten-track destinations.

Tiqets – Focused on museum tickets, cultural attractions, and city landmarks. Particularly useful in Europe – if you are visiting a major museum or monument, Tiqets often has the best pricing and instant mobile entry. No printing required, no queuing at the ticket desk.

GoCity – A multi-attraction pass system operating in major cities worldwide including New York, London, Paris, Dubai, Sydney, and more. You pay once and get access to dozens of top attractions for a set number of days. Two pass types: All-Inclusive (unlimited attractions per day) and Explorer (choose a fixed number of attractions over 60 days). Can save up to 50% compared to buying tickets individually. Best value for first-time visitors who plan to see a lot in a short window.

Tripadvisor – Beyond reviews, Tripadvisor also sells tours, activities, and experiences directly. Useful for reading reviews of a tour before booking, and competitive enough on price that booking direct through the platform is worth checking alongside Klook and GetYourGuide.

Flights

Aviasales – A flight search and comparison engine particularly strong for routes in Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Aggregates prices from airlines and online travel agencies. Useful for finding cheap fares on routes that mainstream search engines underserve. A good first stop if you are flying within Asia or between Asia and Europe.

Kiwi.com – Flight booking platform with a unique feature that stitches together separate one-way tickets from different airlines into a single cheaper itinerary. This can produce significantly cheaper fares on routes with no direct connection. Kiwi takes responsibility for rebooking if a connection is missed. Works best for flexible travellers who prioritise price over simplicity.

Cheapoair – A US-based online travel agency covering flights, hotels, and car rentals. Particularly well known for finding deals on transatlantic and transpacific routes. Worth checking for long-haul bookings and good for last-minute fares.

Omio – Compares and books flights, trains, and buses across Europe and beyond in a single search. If you are planning a multi-modal European trip – flying into one city and travelling onward by train or bus – Omio is the most efficient way to plan and book everything without switching between platforms.

Hotels and accommodation

Booking.com – One of the largest accommodation platforms globally. Covers hotels, apartments, guesthouses, and hostels in nearly every destination. Known for flexible cancellation policies on most listings and a straightforward interface. My first stop for European and Australian accommodation bookings.

Agoda – Particularly strong for Asia. Often has better rates than other platforms for Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, and India. Also covers Europe and Australia but the price advantage is most pronounced in Asian destinations. Worth comparing with Booking.com for any Asian booking.

Hotels.com – A solid alternative to Booking.com with a loyalty programme that gives one free night for every ten nights booked. Worth using alongside Booking.com for price comparison, and the reward programme adds up meaningfully over time.

Hostelworld – The leading platform for hostel bookings worldwide. Covers dormitory beds through to private hostel rooms with detailed reviews and a reliable booking system. If you travel on a budget or want a social environment, Hostelworld has the widest inventory of hostels across every destination.

Vrbo – Vacation rental platform focused on whole-property rentals – houses, villas, and apartments. A strong alternative to Airbnb, particularly for families or groups where having your own kitchen, lounge, and multiple bedrooms makes a real difference to both cost and comfort.

Trip.com – Covers flights, hotels, trains, and activities in one platform. Particularly useful for bookings within Asia and for destinations where local knowledge and Chinese-language support make a difference. Good pricing on hotels across Asia and the Middle East.

Transfers and ground transport

Kiwitaxi – Private transfer booking in over 100 countries and 800+ airports. Fixed price, professional driver, meet-and-greet on arrival. No surge pricing, no negotiation at the kerb. Particularly useful when arriving late at night in an unfamiliar city or travelling with luggage to a hotel far from public transport. Active code: TPO5 – 5% off any booking. Valid until 15 June 2026.

HolidayTaxis – Airport transfer specialist operating across popular holiday destinations worldwide. Pre-book your transfer from airport to hotel at a fixed price. Shared and private options available. Reliable for resort destinations in Europe, the Caribbean, and Southeast Asia.

Get Transfer – Private and shared transfer booking in 100+ countries. Uses a bidding model – you post your transfer request and drivers respond with offers. Can produce very competitive pricing, especially for longer intercity transfers or routes where standard taxis are unreliable.

Welcome Pickups – Airport transfer service with English-speaking local drivers who provide area tips and recommendations during the ride. Popular in European and Mediterranean destinations. Feels more like being met by a local guide than hailing a taxi. Particularly good for first-time visitors to a city.

Intui Travel – Private transfer and taxi booking covering airports, train stations, cruise ports, and intercity routes. Operates primarily across Europe with fixed prices and professional drivers. Good backup option if Kiwitaxi or Get Transfer do not cover your specific route.

12Go – The leading ground and sea transport booking platform for Asia. Book buses, trains, ferries, and transfers across over 730,000 routes in 140+ countries. Indispensable for travel through Southeast Asia – Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, the Philippines, and beyond. The overnight train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, the ferry to Koh Samui, the bus across the border – 12Go covers all of it in one place. Active code: TP10 – 10% off one booking, max $6.75. New users only. Valid until 30 June 2026.

Busbud – Bus ticket search and booking platform covering 12,000+ destinations in 80+ countries. Particularly strong for North America and Latin America where long-distance bus travel is common and major operators do not always have user-friendly booking systems. Compares schedules and prices from multiple operators in a single search.

RailEurope – The specialist for European rail travel. Book point-to-point train tickets and rail passes across 45 European countries. Covers Eurostar, TGV, Trenitalia, Deutsche Bahn, and more in one place. Eurail and Interrail passes are also available here – worth comparing against point-to-point fares for longer rail journeys.

Car rental

DiscoverCars – Car rental comparison platform covering providers worldwide. Particularly important in destinations like Tasmania where rental prices vary significantly between providers and early booking makes a real difference. Always compare here before booking directly with a rental company – the saving is often substantial.

Economy Bookings – Another car rental comparison platform worth checking alongside DiscoverCars. Strong in Europe and useful for finding deals on budget rental companies that do not always appear on the larger platforms. Good for longer rentals where even a small daily rate difference adds up.

Travel insurance

Insubuy – Travel insurance comparison platform aggregating plans from over a dozen insurance companies. Covers visitor insurance, trip cancellation cover, travel medical insurance, Schengen visa insurance, and study abroad insurance. Particularly critical for travel to the United States where a single hospital day can cost $3,000-$10,000 without cover. Compare coverage and price across multiple providers before buying.

AirHelp – Flight disruption protection rather than traditional travel insurance. If your flight is delayed 3+ hours, cancelled, or overbooked, EU passenger rights regulations entitle you to up to $650 in compensation – but airlines make claiming as difficult as possible. AirHelp handles the entire claim process on a no-win, no-fee basis. Their AirHelp+ subscription adds fast disruption payouts, missed connection cover, and lost luggage cover on top. If you fly frequently through European airports, it is worth having. Active code: AHTPO9 – 9% off AirHelp+ Smart and Pro plans. Valid until 30 June 2026. All markets.

WayAway – Flight search and travel planning platform with a cashback feature on bookings. Also covers travel insurance comparisons. Useful for finding cheap flights and earning cashback on bookings you would be making anyway.

SIM cards and connectivity

Yesim – eSIM provider covering 150+ countries. An eSIM lets you add a local data plan to your phone without swapping physical SIM cards – you activate it digitally before you travel and switch it on at arrival. Yesim is particularly useful if you travel frequently across multiple countries and want affordable data without roaming charges. Works on any eSIM-compatible device.

DrimSim – International SIM card covering 200+ countries. DrimSim operates as a physical SIM that works globally without changing cards between destinations – one card, automatic local rates across 200+ countries. Good for travellers who prefer a physical SIM or whose phone does not support eSIM.

Events and entertainment

Ticketmaster – The world’s largest event ticketing platform. Concerts, sports, theatre, festivals, and live entertainment worldwide. If you are planning a trip around a specific event – a football match, a concert, a theatre run – Ticketmaster is the primary source for official tickets.

Ticketnetwork – A secondary ticket marketplace for live events. Useful when events are sold out on primary platforms. Covers sports, concerts, theatre, and entertainment primarily across the US and major international venues.

Luggage storage

Radical Storage – Luggage storage booking platform operating in 80+ countries and 500+ cities. If you have a late checkout or early check-in and need somewhere to leave your bags, Radical Storage connects you with local shops, hotels, and businesses offering secure hourly or daily storage. Fixed prices, no negotiation. Very useful on travel days when you want to explore without dragging luggage around.

How to use a promo code

Most of these codes apply at checkout. The general process:

  1. Click the affiliate link in the listing above – some codes only work when accessed via the correct partner link
  2. Browse and add your booking to the cart as normal
  3. At checkout, look for a “Promo code” or “Discount code” field
  4. Enter the code exactly as shown – codes are case-sensitive
  5. Apply the code and confirm the discount appears before completing payment

If a code is not working, check the eligibility conditions first. Minimum spend, new users only, and region restrictions are the most common reasons a code fails. If the conditions are met and the code still does not apply, it may have reached its usage limit before the expiry date.

Frequently asked questions

How often is this page updated? I update it whenever new codes come through from Travelpayouts – typically every few weeks. The last update date is shown at the top of the page. Expired codes are removed immediately.

Why do I need to use your link for some codes to work? Some promo codes are exclusive to traffic coming through specific affiliate partners. The code itself may not work if you go directly to the platform’s website – it needs to be activated via the partner link. I note in each listing when this applies.

Are these codes really free to use? Yes. You pay exactly what the platform shows after the discount. I earn a small commission from the platform if you complete a booking, but this does not affect the price you pay. It is how travel blogs like this one are funded.

What if a code does not work? Check the eligibility conditions first. If the conditions are met and the code still fails, it may have reached its usage limit before the expiry date. Contact me via the contact page and I will check.

Which platform should I use for hotel bookings? For Europe and Australia, Booking.com is my first choice. For Asia, check Agoda first – it often has better prices on the same properties. For vacation rentals and longer stays, Vrbo is worth comparing alongside both.

Which platform should I use for tours? For Asia, start with Klook. For Europe, GetYourGuide or Tiqets depending on whether you want guided tours or museum tickets. For less common destinations, Viator has the broadest inventory. For city sightseeing passes, GoCity is worth calculating against buying individual tickets.

Which platform should I use for airport transfers? Kiwitaxi and Welcome Pickups are my first choices for private transfers. HolidayTaxis is good for resort destinations. Get Transfer can produce competitive pricing for longer intercity routes through its bidding model.

Do you have codes for flights? Not currently. Flight prices are dynamic and promo codes for flights are rare. I will add any that come through Travelpayouts.

Final note

Travel is expensive enough without paying more than you have to. The platforms on this page cover every part of a trip – from the flight and the hotel to the airport transfer, the museum ticket, and the SIM card that keeps you connected. None of them are here because they paid to be listed. They are here because I have used them, compared them, and found them genuinely useful across 43 countries.

The promo codes at the top of the page are the easy wins – a few percent off a booking you were going to make anyway. The platform list below them is the deeper value – knowing which site to open first for each type of booking, and why, saves more money over time than any single discount code.

I update this page regularly. If a code has expired or you find a better deal somewhere, feel free to reach out via the contact page.
