There are artists, and then there are cultural forces.

BTS has proven, time and time again, that their impact goes far beyond music charts. It’s measurable, immediate, and global.

Following the release of ARIRANG, BTS saw a surge in first-time listeners, spiking over 690% on Spotify in just a single weekend. That kind of growth isn’t just impressive; it’s a reflection of how deeply their reach continues to expand.

By March 20, BTS had climbed to #1 on Spotify’s Daily Top Artists chart across 70 markets. At the same time, their music dominated globally, securing over 260 placements across Spotify’s Top 50 songs and artists charts.

But the numbers don’t stop there.

Fans added tracks from ARIRANG to their personal playlists more than 11.7 million times during release weekend alone. And in the hours following their comeback concert, streams of the new album surged nearly 120%.

One standout moment? “Mikrokosmos” experienced a 250% increase in streams in South Korea compared to the day before, showing how powerful a single performance can be when fueled by a dedicated global fanbase.

This is what the BTS Effect looks like: not just popularity, but momentum. Not just listeners, but participation. A ripple that becomes a wave, every single time.
