Studio 49

As the Middle East establishes itself as a global tourism powerhouse, Berlin-based content and communications agency Studio 49 is expanding its presence with a new office in Dubai.

With the UAE’s hospitality sector projected to reach $7 billion by 2026, this move places Studio 49 at the heart of a rapidly growing market, enabling it to work even more closely with top hotel and tourism brands.

Meanwhile, the agency is reinforcing its European operations with a new structure and a focus on transversal communications to react to an increased need for integrated communications, which will not only better serve clients’ needs but also extend the agency’s portfolio to a broader range of communications services.

Berlin Remains the Creative Hub

Whilst extending its presence to the Middle East, Berlin remains the heart of Studio 49’s European operations. With a team of 20+ professionals, the agency continues to drive growth and innovation for hospitality brands across Europe.

To enhance service specialization, Studio 49 has introduced a refined structure with four key areas of expertise:

  • Content covers all aspects of content production, from photography and video to podcasts;
  • Community drives engagement through social media, influencer marketing, performance marketing, and PR;
  • Growth focuses on strategy, branding and project management; and
  • Business Intelligence transforms social listening and data analytics into actionable insights.

Unlike traditional agency setups, Studio 49’s approach is not based on individual communication services such as PR, social media, or performance marketing that operate in isolation. We are tearing down silos to ensure targeted expertise across all disciplines and cohesive messaging across all platforms. Studio 49’s Managing Director Fritz Dickamp.

Strengthening Ties with the Middle East

Studio 49’s Dubai office will be built with local talent, ensuring deep market knowledge and cultural expertise. The hiring process has already begun, with the team set to grow gradually. The two offices will work in close synergy to provide seamless, market-specific communication strategies tailored to regional and global hospitality players.

“The Middle East is rewriting the rules of global hospitality, and we’re here to help brands make an impact with the right messaging at the right time,” said Fritz Dickamp, Managing Director of Studio 49. “Hospitality in the region is booming, and after three years of working with the market from our Berlin office, we want to reaffirm our commitment to our Dubai-based clients and grow our local presence.”
