The opening of art’otel Rome Piazza Sallustio marks a significant milestone for art’otel, the contemporary lifestyle hotel brand owned by PPHE Hotel Group, known for the Park Plaza properties portfolio. Renowned for successful openings in cities including London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Zagreb, and Cologne, art’otel continues to expand its European portfolio with a focus on immersive, art-led luxury lifestyle hospitality, now arriving in Italy for the first time.

Featuring a range of curated, art-inspired properties, the contemporary hospitality group offers travelers an exciting canvas in the world’s most exciting cities. Each hotel is designed by a carefully-selected Signature Artist, renowned in his/her destination, to create a space as striking and individual as the stunning art it hosts. The Rome property is no exception, as renowned Roman artist Pietro Ruffo takes control to strike an effortlessly delicate balance between modernity and the city’s timeless charm. Taking guests on a journey through the multi-layered history of the Eternal City, he showcases immersive artworks that blend seamlessly with the hotel’s interior design by Eyal Shoan of Digital Space studio.

art’otel Rome Piazza Sallustio features 99 guest rooms and 11 luxurious suites. Many of the rooms feature their own private balconies and large terraces, and all feature Ruffo’s signature works, including originals, making the hotel the largest permanent collection of his work to date. Throughout his career Ruffo has collaborated and still does, with the likes of Dior, Valentino and the Vatican Library, and was most recently named Italy’s Artist of the Year in 2024. Ruffo’s background is in architecture, and after receiving several important public commissions, was prompted to expand his work into an urban dimension, breathing life into projects like art’otel Rome Piazza Sallustio.

While staying at art’otel Rome Piazza Sallustio, guests can also look forward to a lively destination dining experience brought by YEZI Restaurant & Bar. At YEZI 一 a fine-dining Pan-Asian restaurant and bar inspired by the traditional Asian tea house style of informal eating, drinking and socialising一 guests will indulge in experimental dim sum, creative mixology, fresh sashimi, irresistible tasting experience menus and signature dishes with tableside theater.

A ground floor terrace that basks in year-round sunshine is decorated with the incredible works of Pietro Ruffo in a 20 meter tile wall representing Rome’s constellations, and offers the perfect Aperitivo spot. Open from lunch until late, the space functions as a gastronomic and social hub with lively DJ programming that guests can experience without ever leaving the property.

Travelers can also sip on handcrafted cocktails at YEZI Bar, which features a signature cocktail list curated by our visionary Groups Bars Manager, Alessandro Mannello & Head of Mixology Gianluca Mantovani. Each drink is a tribute to the roads that brought people, flavours, and traditions to Rome, blending ingredients & inspirations from across the Empire. From the fragrant and unique spices of the Silk Road, to the robust wines of the Mediterranean, discover a bar where every sip tells a story – where history is poured into every glass, and the flavours of the past meet the artistry of the present. Jetsetters seeking fun must also stop by the Aperitivo Hour with live music, DJ performances and more.

Additional hotel amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center with advanced TechnoGym equipment, a traditional wood-heated sauna, and creative meeting spaces available to both business and leisure travelers.

As a complement to the property’s artful design, the hotel will also feature an on-site art gallery that will host dynamic exhibitions from both renowned and emerging artists, including the inaugural solo show from Ruffo himself. With his solo show at Palazzo Espezioni finished as of February 16th, Pietro’s will take over the art gallery at art’otel Rome from opening until end of August, giving visitors the perfect opportunity to view his work alongside the hotel design.

Through the property’s art’beat program, art’otel will offer its guests and locals an ever-changing lineup of events and activities celebrating the arts, culture, wellness, food, drink and lifestyle.
