Travel experts at The Telegraph have compiled a list of the 30 best hotels to visit this spring.

“This is not the time of year for old beams and snug nooks by the fire, nor for breezy seaside resorts best suited to summer,” they wrote.

“This is the time of year for spreading wings and taking flight.

“And these hotels will provide the perfect perch.”

Congham Hall is a Georgian manor with an on-site spa.

It is home to 31 individually designed bedrooms, suites and cabins and prices start at £199 for a double room.

It boasts 13 guest rooms and a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Double rooms start at £480, including breakfast and dinner. 

Tuddenham Mill, which sits across the border in Suffolk, came in ninth place.
