The Rooms: Classic Cool with Skyline Views

The Food: High Tea, High Praise

I’ve had a lot of hotel buffets. Most blur together into a sea of eggs and regret. But The Fullerton? She knows how to plate a story.

Breakfast Buffet: Local dishes like kaya toast and nasi lemak alongside pancakes and dim sum. No kids’ menu, but plenty of kid-friendly options.

High Tea at The Courtyard: We visited in July, so the menu was a fun collab with a beloved local food chain for National Day. Savory kueh pie tee next to ondeh-ondeh cakes. I cried into my tea. In a good way. The setting was calm, elegant, and surprisingly toddler-welcoming. The team even offered to bring a small platter of fruits when they saw how quickly my daughter devoured everything that she was allowed to eat.

Dinner Buffet: Michelin-guide-worthy local cuisine and an insane dessert spread that could bring a grown adult to their knees. I may have hoarded three mini cheesecakes. Respect the hustle. The Fullerton is known across the city for its cakes and pastries—even non-guests come just for dessert.

Club Lounge Access: So Fabulous

The Fullerton was at full occupancy during our stay, and let me tell you—the Straits Club Lounge was our sanctuary. A calm, intimate setting for breakfast, afternoon snacks, and evening cocktails. There were other parents there too, looking equally grateful to be temporarily removed from the buffet line chaos.

What It Costs (and When to Go)

Rooms at the Fullerton start around $420 USD/night in low season (April–June) and climb up to $600+ USD/night in high season (December, Chinese New Year, and July–August).

We stayed in July and caught early National Day celebrations—fireworks, festive food collabs, and the patriotic buzz without the crowd crush of August 9 itself.

Final Thoughts
