After a process of adaptation and strategic repositioning, the former The Lodge Porto reopens with a new identity and management, becoming Forte de Gaia, Autograph Collection, with the aim of becoming a benchmark of luxury and sophistication in the city.

This change consolidates its positioning in the premium segment and integrates the hotel into one of the world’s most prestigious hotel groups. A strategy that ensures guests an even more exclusive and differentiating experience, including access to the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.

Owned by the Spanish investment company Azora, the hotel is located in front of the old town of Porto, with privileged views of the Douro River, surrounded by the most prestigious wineries of Vila Nova de Gaia.

Offering an unparalleled year-round stay, with 119 rooms, including five suites and two large luxury suites of two floors each, Forte de Gaia has seven typologies of accommodation. They are all designed by the prestigious Portuguese interior designer Nini Andrade Silva, known for integrating large volume shapes in minimalist environments with a personal vision withdrawn from clichés.

Autograph Collection distinguishes itself by encompassing properties with a unique character, allowing each hotel to retain its individuality while benefiting from the prestige and influence of the Marriott brand.
