Marriott names new APAC exec. Marriott International has named Gautam Bhandari as chief development officer, Asia Pacific excluding China (APEC). He will assume the role on January 1. With over two decades of proven leadership across markets and disciplines, Bhandari will be responsible for advancing Marriott’s strategic growth plans in a region that spans more than 650 open hotels across 25 brands in 22 countries, with over 380 hotels in the development pipeline. Gautam joined Marriott in 2007 and has held a range of leadership roles spanning revenue management, hotel operations, sales, marketing and development. Since 2023, he has served as senior vice president, development and operations. He will be based out of Singapore.

Peachtree names new EVP. Atlanta-based Peachtree Group has named Lindsay Monge as executive vice president of asset management. Monge brings more than two decades of leadership experience in hospitality, real estate investment and operations to Peachtree. Most recently, he served as president of Seaview Investors and before that, he spent nearly 16 years at Sunstone Hotel Investors. He also worked at MagnaFlow, Alpha Wave, The Westgate Hotel and the Waldorf Astoria in New York.

New CDO for Sonesta. Sonesta International Hotels Corp. has revealed that Phil Hugh will assume the role of chief development officer, succeeding Brian Quinn upon his planned transition. Quinn joined the organization in March 2023, immediately following Sonesta’s acquisition of Red Lion Hotels Corp. During his tenure, Quinn effectively led new franchise efforts for the combined company across the full portfolio of Sonesta and Red Lion brands. He reengineered Sonesta’s franchising platform, setting up internal systems and hiring a team to support rapid growth in lodging development. Hugh joined Sonesta in March 2024 as senior vice president/head, luxury & lifestyle development. He brings more than 30 years of experience in portfolio development, brand growth, strategic partnerships and leading franchise sales teams to this new role.

Trump Hotels names VP of marketing. New York City-based Trump Hotels has named Patricia Galas as vice president of marketing, effective immediately. A seasoned hospitality executive with over 15 years of experience, Galas joins Trump Hotels from Park Hyatt New York, where she served as senior director of marketing communications. She has also held leadership roles with Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas and MGM Resorts International.
