EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) – A new Emporia hotel is in the final stages of construction.

Operator KMG Hotels announced Friday that the Emporia Fairfield Inn by Marriott will be through a substantial phase of construction by the end of September, with October slated for the installation of furnishings and equipment.

KMG Hotels says it expects to open in Mid-December, but it should have more specific updates in the coming weeks.

The hotel is located at 3010 Eaglecrest Dr., and will also have the Diamond Conference Center.
