Condé Nast Traveller, the global authority on high-end travel, announced the winners of its second annual UK’s Top New Restaurant Awards, celebrated at an event hosted by Condé Nast Traveller’s global editorial director, Divia Thani, at Ambassadors Clubhouse in London.
Judges including Raymond Blanc OBE, Jackson Boxer and Anna Shaffer formed this year’s distinguished panel, selecting winners who demonstrated culinary flair, creativity and excellence in the kitchen.
Food has an incredible ability to be a gateway into a culture, to bring down walls and to bring people together, which is what we set out to do with our second annual UK’s Top New Restaurant Awards. Gathering the top talent across the nation’s vibrant food scene to celebrate their incredible achievements here tonight has been a privilege.

Judges for the UK’s Top New Restaurant Awards are:
- Raymond Blanc OBE: A culinary icon renowned for his exceptional talent, innovation, and unwavering dedication to the art of French cuisine.
- Gizzi Erskine: A chef and award winning food writer who has a column on food sub culture and women’s issues in the I-paper.
- Notorious Foodie: One of the most influential content creators in the UK, Notorious Foodie is a self-taught home cook from London. Whether it’s indulgent home cooking using the very best ingredients or fine dining at the most talked about restaurants, you’ll find this and everything in between on his channels that have amassed over 14 million followers (@Notorious_Foodie).
- Anna Shaffer: Anna’s breakout role came as Romilda Vane in the widely acclaimed Harry Potter films. She later captivated audiences as Triss Merigold, the enigmatic sorceress in Netflix’s fantasy series The Witcher, a role she has played since the first season, with the fourth set to air in 2025. On stage, Anna delivered a standout performance in the UK premiere of School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play at The Lyric Theatre, bringing Ericka Boafo to life in a critically acclaimed, joy-filled, and sold-out run. In 2019 her husband opened popular neighbourhood wine bar Hector’s in De Beauvoir, where she can be found on Friday’s arranging the flowers and most Saturday’s propping up the bar.
- Poppy O’Toole: Poppy O’Toole is the self-titled ‘Potato Queen’ of the internet, where she has amassed over 5.5 million followers. She can often be seen on TV as a judge on ITV’s Cooking With The Stars or BBC Three’s Young Masterchef. She’s also the bestselling author of three books, with her most recent, The Actually Delicious Slowcooker Book, hitting #1 on the Sunday Times bestselling charts.
- Jackson Boxer: Jackson Boxer is a renowned London chef working across institutions including Brunswick House and Orasay where he is chef proprietor, Cowley Manor, Jackson Boxer at The Corner and most recently, Henri at Henrietta Experimental. He occasionally puts pen to paper for various publications.
- Julie Lin: A Malaysian-Scottish chef, writer, TV presenter and restaurateur. Julie has a successful restaurant in Glasgow, GaGa, Michelin recommended and named Best Restaurant in Scotland in 2022. Some of her recent work includes regular appearances on Saturday Kitchen, featuring on The Hairy Bikers Go Local and hugely popular Netflix series Somebody Feed Phil, as well as cooking for Judi Dench on Country File.
- Jackson Mclarty: The founder of Black Eats LDN, the UK’s largest Black-owned food and culture platform. Recognised as a trailblazer, McLarty was named to GUAP’s 30 Under 30 list in 2021. Under his leadership, Mclarty has directly supported over 500 Black-owned businesses and collaborated with prestigious festivals including Wireless and Cross the Tracks.
- Tom Parker Bowles: A contributing editor to Conde Nast Traveller, as well as Restaurant Critic for The Mail on Sunday and Food Editor of Esquire, as well as writing a monthly column for County Life. He is a regular judge on BBC’s Masterchef, and is the author of eight books. His new one, Cooking and The Crown, is out in September.
- Sarah Allard: Digital director at Condé Nast Traveller. Sarah lives in east London and is travel and food obsessed – if she’s not eating out at one of the newest spots in the city, then you’ll find her battling to stuff as much as she can into a carry-on and heading to the airport.
